An authentic-task approach to individual writing needs
This book develops advanced students' ability to write whole v texts in English. Each main section in Writing Tasks deals with a text-type which a student may realistically be expected to write in English; for example, personal letters, letters to firms or officials, and reports. Authentic examples of each type of text are followed by a number of practice writing tasks. The student's own results determine how many practices he or she needs to do.
The material is very flexibly designed to allow students to select those sections most relevant to their needs, thus encouraging them to design their own personal syllabus. Teachers too can design courses for particular students or classes.
The Teacher's Book, which can also be used as a self-study guide, is a rich source of additional practice material and optional exercises on problem aspects of language. It also contains tests which permit students and teachers to... Tovább
