EDWARD HARTWIG is one of the most distinguished photographers of the present day, member of the Polish Union of Art Photographers, the Fédération Internationale de PArt Photographique (FIAP), and a number of other European photographic associations; his artistic production has been presented in numerous one-man exhibitions held in Poland and abroad, and he is the author of many books of photographs. Edward Hartwig has been awarded many prizes for his remarkable achievements in the art of photography. In 1965, his outstanding photographic production brought him the Award, Third Class, of the Minister of Culture and Arts for achievements in art; in 1961, he was granted the city of Warsaw annual award for the outstanding quality of his photography. The pride of place in Edward Hartwig's artistic output goes to Warsaw. The present book is alsó dedicated by the photographer to Warsaw, his favoured city; he wished to present the reader with an up-to-date picture of Poland's capital city,... Tovább
