The Lord committed to Ibolya and her husband three boys to

recently with three grandchildren. Currently she is living in Nagyvárad with her retired
husband, Pál.
This little book has been born from opportunities for ministries among women and
young people spanning several decades. They often involved talks in meetings and services,
or conversations on personal levels, as well as exchanges at women's retreats held regularly
in Transylvania at the Hargita Christian Camp.
HOW WELL DO WE KNOW THE OLD TESTAMENT?
Even if our reply is: "Quite well, I think," in this fascinating little book we may expect
to meet some characters whom we had not really noticed or thought about before, for
none of the Old Testament women featured here are known by name.
However, all of these therefore somewhat shadowy women played important parts in
the developing story of God's special love for human beings - despite living in ages and
cultures in which the roles of women were generally much less prominent than today.
The author is a retired Hungarian pastor's wife who has lived and served God all her
life among the large ethnic Hungarian community that has remained in Romania after
national frontiers in this region were redrawn following the end of World War 1.
She draws from her own personal experiences as she prompts us to consider how we
also may be able to serve the Lord and other people in crucial ways even though we may
not be 'important' in the eyes of the world, and do not have names that will be widely
remembered by those who come after us.
This delightful collection of cameos is equally suitable for personal use, or as a
thought-provoking guide for discussion whenever or wherever there is a get-together for
prayer and Bible study.
