Some of the adventures focus on types of dives or certain animals: ice diving, cave
diving, and night diving, for example; lobster diving and dives with dolphins,
moray eels, and angel sharks. Others feature such attractions as the President
Coolidge, at 654 feet in length the largest shipwreck in the world within reach of
conventional sport diving equipment. One especially interesting chapter tells the
story of Ralph White, the famous diver who has explored the Titanic and plumbed
the mystery of the Loch Ness monster.
Even "stay at home" divers will enjoy reading about these adventures, and look-
ing at the scores of vivid color photographs that embellish the text. For those who
are planning or considering a dive vacation, the author has provided listings at
the end of each chapter; names and places to contact for more information.
