The encyclopedic tourist guide "Treasures of Yugoslavia" has res,ülted from the need to provide the foreign and the Yugoslav reader with a convenient guide through Yugoslavia's rich cultural heritage. For thousands of years many nations have lived on Yugoslav soil and left behind valuable spiritual and material traces of their existence. The guide is designed, to meet the motorized traveller's need to get acquainted with the world around him. that is, with the cultural heritage of numerous civilizations on the roads of his journey, the heritage which is easily accessible to him todav. The guide describes all places in Yugoslavia with significant cultural and historical landmarks. It gives a historical and cultural survey of each place and ends with a list of landmarks pointed out to the reader.
