Karate is both an exciting combat sport and an effective form of self defence. However, becoming skilful at karate requires two things -dedication from the student and effective coaching. This book is, without doubt, one of the best available reference sources of effective coaching.
David Ticky' Donovan is the British National Coach and the only westerner ever to receive a 7th dan black belt award for his services to karate excellence, directly from the President of the World Union of Karatedo Organisations.
Ticky has built his world success upon the foundation of basic training in traditional karate - the subject of this book. He explains in minute detail how to achieve perfect form and perhaps more importantly, he analyses technique in such a way as to allow the reader instantly to recognise and correct, any shortcomings in his/her technique.
Traditional Karate takes you from complete beginner, to black belt. It is a worthy companion to ' Winning Karate' by the same author... Tovább
