Confirmation A Congregational Planner Confirmation: A Congregational Planner is a resource for congregational confirmation ministry teams. The 1993 report of the ELCA Confirmation Ministry Task Force recommends that each congregation form a team whose purpose is to establish and implement an effective confirmation ministry program that meets the specific needs of the congregation. Johnson has served as a parish pastor for 16 years. He was a confirmation camp dean for nine years, which helped develop his interest in creating innovative confirmation curriculum. He received his Doctor in Ministry degree from the Claremont School of Theology, California, in 1996. The title of his dissertation was "Confirmation as a Lifelong Celebration of Baptism."
