The illustrations in this book have been selected from the Tom Hall Collection - a portfolio of over 50,000 photographs representing the richest fruits of almost a quarter of a centuiy of camera work by one of Canada's foremost wildlife photographers.
Pictures from this vast collection have appeared on the covers and inside pages of somé of North America's largest circulation '^f* magazines, including Field and
Stream and National Wildlife. They have been used by theWorld Book Encyclopedia, the National Film Board, Parks Canada, and a score of other government agencies. They have illustrated calendars put out by Shell Canada and the Imperial Bank of Commerce and have been used in books such as Canada in Color, The Mountain Barrier, Outdoors Canada, Big Game of Canada and Rocky Mountain Wildlife - which contained over 400 of his photographs and has brought him recognition from New York and Washington publishers.
