The Kandóm Review 1982, the first in an annual series, gathers into one volume the best stories, poems and essays published in American magazines in the preceding year. Other anthologies collect the year's leading work in one genre or another; still others choose outstanding work from specific types of publications. But The Rundom Review is the only anthology that covers the major literary forms in the whole rangé of American periodicals- in short, the one book that presents the best writing of 1981. Over six hundred periodicals were invited to submit issues published in 1981, and from these, ten stories, fifteen poems, and two essays were chosen.
