Unraveling Strauss's ideas from his commentaries reveals the extent to which his vision of politics, civilization and modernity are borrowed largely from Machiav^lli, Freud and Nietzsche. Only if we understand his political thought can we grasp the nature of the post-modern era he hopes to inaugurate. Vissza
