The New Cambridge English Course is a four-level course for
learners of English. Level 1 takes beginners and false beginners
to a point at which they can use English fluently for simple
practical purposes.
The Test Book meets the needs of teachers in schools where
assessment testing is required. Test Book 1 includes six unseen tests
covering the same material as the six corresponding progress tests in
Student's Book 1. Teachers are permitted to photocopy the tests for
distribution to their students. The Test Book also provides
methodological advice on effective testing, as well as a full answer
key to all the tests.
The New Cambridge English Course is a completely revised and
re-designed edition of the internationally successful Cambridge
English Course. The strengths of the original edition are combined
with new written and recorded material to meet the needs of
