The New Cambridge English Course is a four-level course for learners of English. Level 1 takes beginners and falsé beginners to a point at which they can use English fluently for simple practical purposes.
The Practice Book is an integrál part of the course, reinforcing, extending and consolidating work done in class with the Student's Book. It provides extra practice on language forms, functions and skills, including optional listening exercises (in conjunction with the Student's Cassettes). Translation exercises provide learners with the opportunity to relate English to their first languages.
The Practice Book contains a comprehensive Mini-grammar — a concise reference guide covering all the structures and functions presented in Level 1 of The New Cambridge English Course.
The New Cambridge English Course is a completely revised and re-designed edition of the internationally successful Cambridge English Course. The strengths of the originál edition are combined with new written and recorded material to meet the needs of learners and teachers even more effectively than before.
