The New Cambridge English Course is a four-level course for
learners of English. Level 1 takes beginners and false beginners
to a point at which they can use English fluently for simple
practical purposes.
The Practice Book is an integral part of the course, reinforcing,
extending and consolidating work done in class with the Student's
Book. It provides extra practice on language forms, functions
and skills, including optional listening exercises (in conjunction
with the Student's Cassettes). Translation exercises provide
learners with the opportunity to relate English to their first
languages.
