twenty centuries. This book bridges the gap between the Palestine of Jesus's day and the last decade of the twentieth century. It presents the main incidents of the four gospels and the main features of Jesus's teaching and explains the historical and cultural background necessary to bring the story of his life to a contemporary audience.
