The proceedings of the fourth conference on Eastern and Western Traditions of European Iconography (Szeged 2008) highlights the theme of the Iconology of Law and Order. The English department of the University of Szeged established its five-yearly conferences under the umbrella name "European Iconology East and West" in 1993.
