ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Jack O'Connor has been hunting all his life, ever since he was big enough to handle a rifle in his native Arizona. Since then he has hunted all over North America. He is one of the first hunters to collect specimens of all four varieties of North American wild sheep and had taken three "grand slams" by the middle 1940's.
A graduate of the University of Arkansas, Jack O'Connor received his M.A. degree at the University of Missouri. Since 1939 he has been the shooting editor oWutdoorUfe. When he is not in the field O'Connor lives and works in Lewiston, Idaho. Besides books on hunting and shooting he has written two novels. His autobiographical book about his youth in Arizona was titled Horse & Buggy Wesf.
