This practical and informative book for teacher trainers and teachers is about the process of training language teachers. It concentrates on strategies which encourage the sharing of course content between participants.
Part One introduces in detail a training strategy called loop input the main aim of which is to achieve a congruence between what the training is about and how it is done. The approach is applied, in a series of practical chapters, to particular training topics such as dictation, classroom management, role play, vocabulary and evaluation.
In Part Two there is a wider exploration and discussion of the different variables involved in teacher training.
