Until now, the expert papers or books on extensible paper production have not been published in greater numbers. Taking this fact intő account as well as the importance of the production of the aforementioned paper type and its massive use in production of more demanding types of bags for various packaging of powder materials contributed to my determination to write this book thus facilitating the experts directly involved in the earlier mentioned production. The book will provide more information on the issue of production of extensible paper. lt is restricted to a narrow field of extensible paper production without which the current production of bags in the world would be impossible. The selection and level of material presented represents a narrow but significant portion of the production issues involved in production of said paper type. The first thematic section provides a more generál, historic review of papermaking, the raw material for papermaking, and the use of subprime fibers in the manufacture of extensible paper. The second thematic section provides the outlines of mass preparation from the aspect of thickening, grinding and refining. The thematic section 111 describes all of the chemical components utilized during the extensible paper production. In the fourth thematic section, more information is given on paper-machine, from the aspect of paper production (paper sheet formation on the colander, paper pressing, drying and crepingj. The V thematic section describes the method of paper processing, its rewinding, formatting and packaging. In its present form, this book should contribute to practical work but alsó serve as an informál textbookfor colleges and high schools, as well asfill the voidpreviously apparent in this area ofexpertise.
