Success with English The Penguin Course
Success with English is a modern, fully illustrated course in three stages now used successfully by students in many countries throughout the world. The General Editor, Geoffrey Broughton, began to teach English as a foreign language during his army service with Mauritian troops. After wide experience of teaching in schools, he took up the training of teachers of English, first at the Malayan Teachers' Training College, Kirkby, and for the past eight years at the University of London Institute of Education. Teaching English and lecturing to teachers has taken him to Austria, Brazil, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, Egypt, Hungary, Iran, Poland and Spain. He has written and edited many books concerned with English as a foreign language, and is well-known as a contributor to B.B.C. English by Radio programmes. He is married with three children.
