The dynamic characteristics of buildings and their response to dynamic loads and effects are presented in this book as well as the methods used for the determination of stresses.
Divided into three parts, the first deals with the dynamic effects of buildings in detail and provides general guidelines. The dynamic characteristics of the most important building materials are described, demonstrating how to design and use models to calculate real effects.
The second part describes the methods of vibration analysis and defines the basic principles. Some apply to simple cases, while others provide a theoretical basis and practical guidelines for solving more complicated problems incurred in the dynamic analysis of buildings.
In the third part some special dynamic problems of buildings are covered, e.g. the determination of the dynamic characteristics of frame and panel high-rise buildings, and the determination and calculation of special dynamic... Tovább
