Fülszöveg

The combined application of spectroscopic methods has become a tool of great importance in structural organic analysis. The generál acceptance of 13C NMR spectroscopy in the last few years has increased this importance, and requires additional efforts to be made by the interested chemist to become aquainted with such techniques in order to be able to take full advantage of their possibilities. ''' This volume sets out to demonstrate and exemplify the philosophy of and techniques for the structural interpretation of combined spectroscopic data, dealing specificaIly with IR, NMR, 13C NMR, mass and UV spectroscopy as these methods are the most widely used. Solutions to 30 model problems, co ver ing a wide variety of structural types, are worked out and discussed in detail. A large number of hints and remarks aregiven relating to practical questions and the technical peculiarities of spectroscopic analysis. which are usually not included in works of this kind. This information is made... Tovább

This information is made accessible by a comprehensive index which makes the book a valuable source of reference well beyond its immediate function as a means of training in and teaching of the interpretation of combined spectroscopic data. The authors' experience in practical analysis and in teaching is brought to bear on both aspects. Vissza
