Stephen Goldberg has a uniquely combined career as a neuroscientist and family physician. A graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, he subsequently trained in neurology, ophthalmology and family medicine, with Board certification in the latter two fields. He has published numerous research papers on neuronal development and regeneration. His present research involves computer artificial intelligence in medical education and clinical diagnosis. He is Associate Professor in the Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy and the Department of Biomedical Computing at the University of Miami School of Medicine, where he teaches neuroanatomy. He has authored a number of books designed to present the student with the critical overall concepts in various areas of basic science and medicine.
