They alsó give the scripts of the listening activities, culture background notes where necessary and answers to all the exercises. Somé of them give sample lesson plans. About the Recorded Material Two hours of recorded material, including the listening activities, dialogues and drills, is available on cassette. About This Book Starting English is notionally based but backed up with thorough and progressive structural work. Its features include: listening activities which encourage the active participation of the student; texts (not just dialogues) from the first unit onwards; a variety of practice material; four progress tests and word lists at the end of each unit.
