A stamp booklet is a small booklet containing one or more specially printed panes of stamps which are affixed inside card holders either by stapling, stitching or by gluing the pane's tab to the inside cover.

In the beginning, booklets were sold only at the local post office, but in the igsos, wall-mounted dispensing machines appeared outside postal outlets. These dispensed 250, then 500 booklets until January 1993. in January 1991, the Goods and Services Tax was applied to all postal services. Thus when the first class letter rate was raised to 430 + 30 GST, it became impractical to sell a booklet for 500. This meant the death of the small 500 booklet.
