SHOTGUN
MARKSMANSW
As Instructor for many years at the West London Shooting Grounds, Percy Stanbury has expertly taught some thousands of men and women to shoot. Some of these pupils had never before held a gun in their hands, some were experienced shots anxious to iron out small imperfections of technique, and some were national champions working to bring the final gloss of perfection to their marksmanship prior to important competitive events. Thus Mr. Stanbury has had wide experience of coaching at every level and he has drawn on it deeply in the preparation of this book.
It is in this respect that this work differs widely from the great majority of other books on shooting. It has no other purpose than to teach; to explain in words and to il ustrate, by means of photographs taken specially for the purpose, how to become a first-class shot. Whatever his present stage of proficiency - whether his interest lies in shooting game or in competitive marksmanship - the reader will find these fascinating chapters packed with practical shooting lore. The book is a 'must' for every shotgun enthusiast.
This new revised edition contains appendices with up-to-date information on gun law, societies, and literature. There are also new photographs, including grouse shooting, pigeon hides, equipment, etc.
T cannot imagine anyone who reads this book and studies its pictures who will not profit greatly by it, whether he is a boy just starting, a bad shot anxious to improve, or an experienced shot who has bouts of missing which he cannot explain' J. K. Stanford, The Field
