Dippitydoo is a collection of 23 songs, sorne traditional, somé originál, and all suitable for children aged 6 to 10. The songs were chosen because of the simplicity of their language, their appeal to children and because they lend themselves to mime, acting and other activities. They provide valuable reinforcement of vocabulary and structures which are normally taught in the first and second years of an English course. The Activity Book features all the songs but one, 'Good Morning*. There are 3 kinds of activities for the young learner to do. The section called 'A song for you' is usually a picture which introduces the subject or story of the song and can be used to help pre-teach or practise vocabulary and structures from the song. For somé of the songs there are fínger puppets or doll-puppets to cut out and make before the children learn the song.
