Ann Carpenter was bom in 1949 in Kent. Her first job in journalism was in the Beauty Department of Woman's Own magazine where she worked for four years. From 1971 she worked as Deputy Fashion Editor on the London Evening Standard. Four years later she left to join the London Evening News as Fashion Editor. Ann now works as a contributing writer for Hair & Beauty magazine and as a visiting lecturer in fashion jovuTiahsm at the London College of Fashion. She has had articles on health, beauty and exercise pubhshed in many leading magazines. She has regularly attended an ILEA evening class in Hatha yoga, twice weekly, for seven years.
Helene Johnson is Director and Teacher of The Body Studio, Croydon. She has been in the exercise field over 12 years and was trained in Los Angeles by a top expert in the field, has contributed to other exercise books and magazines and has appeared in a B.B.C. television series demonstrating exercises.
