PETER IRVINE was born and raised
in Jedburgh, the nearest town to the
English border. He went to Edinburgh
University where he studied geography
before travelling the world. He is the
director of the two leading event
companies in Scotland, which between
them produce many of the major public
events in Edinburgh and Glasgow. He is
also the director of Edinburgh's
Millennium Hogmanay. So he's kept
quite busy but he always finds time to
research and write this book.
