This edition alsó contains an account of one of Emánuel s earlier voyages, a trip to the littleknown Faeroe Islands, written by Commander Graham's daughter who sailed with him. Commander R. D. Graham was a farmer from Bridgwater, Somerset. In the winter of 1933-34 business worries affected his health, so (he says) 'not being able to afford a world cruise in a luxury liner, I decided to go in my own ship to somé place beyond the reach of telephone and telegraph wires'. 'Constitutionally rather timid', he nevertheless resolved to sail for Newfoundland single-handed. Vissza
