Kernel Three is a course m English for intermediate and post-mtermediate students, It consists of: Students' Book Teacher's Book Workbook Tapescript Tests (Students' Book and Teacher's Book) Cassettes (2 sets)
Kernel Three is a continuation and extension of Kernel Two, and is also suitable for students who have completed other pre-intermediate courses. The syllabus is designed to reach the Threshold Level, as defined by the Council of Europe. The sixteen units allow for recycling of new material as well as consolidation of previously learned material. Kernel Three has as its framework a carefully graded progression of structures and functions. Development of all four skills is woven into the course design through an imaginative series of oral exercises, reading practice and listening and writing tasks.

The special feature of Kernel Three is that it presents language and life through the formative experiences of four characters, all leadmg very different lifestyles: a business executive, a rock musician, a hospital worker and a salesman. This allows the opportunity for the course to provide a great variety of text types and skills exercises which develop naturally out of the episodes m the lives of the characters. In this way the characters cover the wide range of communicative tasks which students themselves will need in order to express themselves in English. Vissza
