First published in 1975 Reptiles and Amphibians of Australia quíckly became the classic work in íts field. It was revised for the second edition in 1979. In 1983 it was again revised and expanded to encompass the taxonomic changes since the second edition. A further 121 species being included together with 64 additional photographs. Alsó all photographs were cross referenced to the text. Now in 1986 a further 50 species have been added in Appendix 2 and all have been included in the index. Reptiles and Amphibians of Australia presents a basis for detailed studies of the biology and ecology of Australian reptiles and frogs and is interesting reading for anyone wishing to broaden their knowledge of Australia's wildlife.
