PIERRE TOUTAIN
Was born in Orbec, Normandy, in 1951. His natural curiosity and thirst for experience led him to spend ten years in the trouble-spots of South-East Asia. The images which he brought back from Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos were both disturbing and deeply moving. In 1980 he decided to change direction; instead of reporting the atrocities of war he pursued new goals through books and magazines. Since then his photographs have appeared regularly in The Observer, Paris-Match, Stern, Bunte, Geo, Zeit Magazine, Fortune, Epoca, Figaro and many others. They have also featured in the books " A Day in the Life of London", " 24 Hours in the Life of Los Angeles", "24 Stunden im Revier ", "Ireland Project", "Benares" and "Nepal".
