Five major areas are highlighted in the book.
First: The vitai message this work seeks to convey is that in the process of economic development an initially one-dimensional economy expanded into a three-dimensional instrument, consisting of sectors of in priváté, public and environmental goods.
Second: Complexities and conflicts between the free price system and other power centers are highlighted. The authors examine how the nucleus of deci-sion-making shifted over time between markét and politically-imposed power and the emergence of new derivatives of power centers in the form of pseudo and illegal activities.
The Third Part addresses: haunting and unique experiences encountered world-wide in agriculture which was kept behind in the forward thrust of generál economic activities by the bogy of agricultural scissors and intersectional pro-ductivity differences.
