ITS FEATURES.

1) The selection of vocabulary is based on the scientific statistical study of vocabulary "frequency, emphasizing the vocabulary most necessary in daily life.
2) As many meanings as possible are assigned to each word so that the meaning is perfectly understood. Model sentences, and the principal idioms connected with each word are given.
Special notes on the usage of words are given in order to guarantee mastery of correct use by those not familiar with the Japanese thinking and manners which determine word usage.
3) Related vocabulary (synonyms, antonyms, derivatives, etc.) are presented so that the reader can derive full value from each word.
4) Basic sentence patterns are given both in order to utilize the new vocabulary, and also to illustrate grammatical usage.
5) The Hepburn System of Romanization is adopted for ease of use as it is the most familiar system internationally.
