PEDAGOGY PRACTICE
Power; Pedagogy, and Practice is a collection of key papers published in
ELT Journal between 1988 and 1995- It is divided into three sections
which deal with major developments in ELT during that period. The
first section addresses issues of empowerment, and includes articles on
language and culture, ownership of language, ELT management,
project development, and learner autonomy; the second examines
teacher education and teacher development; the third explores issues of
classroom practice, providing practical suggestions, discussion of ideas,
and evaluation of procedures. The Editors provide a commentary,
which links the themes and indicates their relevance for the profession,
and suggestions for further reading.
