Despite a checkered academic history, including expulsion from high school and a brief stint delivering mail, Stephen Law graduated with honors in philosophy from the City University, London. He continued his studies at Oxford University, where he was a junior research fellow for three years, and is currently a lecturer in philosophy at Heythrop College, in the University of London.
