This teachers' manual accompanies the one-hour videocassette of PERSON TO PERSON and its supporting students' book and C90 audiocassette. The manual provides guidance for the use of all the materials in a wide variety of classroom contexts. PERSON TO PERSON is intended for students at low intermediate level upwards. It enables them to understand and use the English they need to express essential language functions in a variety of everyday situations. Special attention is paid to factors which affect the choice of acceptable language, such as the relationships of the people involved, the degree offormality required bythe situation, etc. The teachers' manual gives a brief introduction to the content and methodology of PERSON TO PERSON, and detailed suggestions for each of the ten units of the videocassette, students' book and audiocassette.
