Walks in Pécs
Although the 534-meter-high Misina is not the highest peak ofthe Mecsek, due to its proximity to the city a lot more people kiiöw it better than the Tubes, the Zengő or Jakab-hill. Lajos Kalmár's "talking" pictures and János Nácsa's "colourful" commentaries invite the reader for a walk in the historic city of Pécs. This album covers a number of sights that previous publications have so far unduly neglected. The authors dedicated separate chapters, among others, to Káptalan Street, the Calvary in Pécs, and the famous local markét. Superb photos and intriguing texts conjure up famous and ordinary faces Of the past, and the irreproducible yet - by looking at the photos of streets and buildings - still "perceivable" atmosphere of the old town.
