An Introductory Text
is a broad social-science based approach to organizational behaviour. The book is divided into five sections — the individual in the organization, groups in organizations, technology in the organization, structural influences on behaviour, and management in the organization. Throughout the text, there are chapter objectives; definitions of key concepts; research box summaries; cartoons, photos, songs and poems; STOP! exercises to encourage reader participation; and end-of-chapter assessment sections.
In the second edition, Andrzej Huczynski and David Buchanan have completely updated the text in terms of theory, research and practice. They have introduced research and experience from multiple cultures, to 'internationalize' the text and stimulate awareness of cross-cultural issues. The larger format features an improved design and incorporates the use of colour.
