Norman T. Simpson, widely recognized as the principal reason why country inns have been "rediscovered" by a constantly increasing number of vacationers, has probably visited more inns than anyone else in the world. In 1986, Simpson marks his 21 st year of writing books on country inns.

The menu that Saturday included baked beans, sausage rolls, chicken, zucchini soup, various cold meats, marinated chicken wings, salads, a quiche, trench bread, and several different desserts. The shepherd's pie was scrumptious . .
