Morris Ginsberci
Editor
What Dicey did for the 19th century, thís volume does for our present age. In thís important work seventeen speciálist contri-butors have both continued and widened Dicey s pioneer study.

The discussions fali into three main divisions: Trends of Thought, Legal Developments* and Trends of Social Policy. Among the topics analysed Professor Ginsberg opens the discussion with "The Growth of Social Responsibility " and Professor Colé closes the first Part with a review of "The Growth of Socialism." Dr. Mannheim contributes a distinguished review of " The Development of Criminal Law," and Pro fessor Robson highlights the astounding growth of t4 Administrative Law/' The final Part, opening with a contribution on Health ' by Professor Titmuss, bríngs together a formidable talent of sociologists from the University of London.
Thís is, in effect, a mid-century appraisal of the most important movements with in contemporary socíety. Its publícation marks a significant mílestone in the legal and social thought of our time Vissza
