Pharmacology and Dermatopharmacology of Mouse Ear Inflammation
Authored by Miklós Gábor, Akadémiai Kiadó; Budapest, 2012
This outstandingly well-compiled work consists fundamentally of three parts. The first
section presents a detailed account of models of mouse ear oedema, and illustrates
the use and applicability of these methods. In the second part of the monograph, the
author surveys anti-Inflammatory materials of plant origin. The third section of the
book presents the models of mouse ear oedema that are utilised in dermatology. An
account is provided of atopic dermatitis induced experimentally by different procedures
in mice, and how it can be influenced in practice. This is followed by a survey of the
models of mouse ear oedema relating to irritative dermatitis. Finally, the models of
allergic contact dermatitis in mice are reviewed, with special emphasis on induction
with picryl chloride, dinitrobenzene, toluene diisocyanate and oxazolone and
investigations... Tovább

Mouse Ear Inflammation Models and Their Pharmacological Applications
Authored by Miklós Gábor, Akadémiai Kiadó; Budapest, 2001. ISBN: 9630577046
Dermatologists are generally aware of the irritant dermatitis syndrome and the fact
that animal skin provides a model for this. It is our belief that this Is indeed a complex
syndrome and so it is extremely helpful to have a single author produce a 336-page
book that summarizes mouse ear inflammation models, it covers everything from
peanut oil to mustard oil as well as cantharldin, dithranol (anthralin), and many
experimental compounds. This is a superb document of scholarship. For those
dermatologists with a research interest in learning more about the animal skin and
irritation, it is highly recommended.
Experimentally-induced Paw Oedemas in Mice
Authored by Miklós Gábor, Akadémiai Kiadó; Budapest, 2007. ISBN: 978-963-05-8541-5
Professor Gábor previously produced a masterpiece on irritant dermatitis in the rodent
ear. in another masterpiece, he has overviewed not only the previous knowledge, but
also his own studies of the use of paw oedema to study inflammation. This text will
enrich the knowledge and productivity of anyone working in this area of inflammation.
