In addition, the book contains a comprehensive English language bibliography. The Authors: Meir Ben-Dov, a graduate of the Hebrew University's Department of Archaeology, is a leading archaeologist. He is the Deputy-Director of the excavations at the Western Wall and an expert in the archaeology of Jerusalem's Old City. Among other projects, he directed the excavations at the Crusader church in the Jewish Quarter, at the Dung Gate and at the Ophel Valley. Meir Ben-Dov has published important articles in various learned journals; and is the author of two ground-breaking books: In the Shadow of the Temple Mount and Jerusalem and the Temple Mount Walls and Gates. Mordechai Naor has written 16 books on a variety of subjects ranging from military affairs to the modern history of Israel. He is a graduate of the Hebrew University in social studies and of Tel Aviv University in Judaic studies. From 1974-1978 he was the Director-General of the Israel Defense Force radio network and has been responsible for dozens of important radio and TV programs dealing with the history of Israel and the Jewish people. Zeev Aner is a regular contributor to important magazines and has edited and moderated somé of Israel's most successful radio and TV programs. His regular weekly radio program, "Hunt the Treasure," dealing with modern Israel and Zionist history, is one of the most popular in the country. Mr. Aner, a graduate of the Levinsky Teachers' Seminary, The Institute for Advanced Israel Studies and Tel Aviv University has written and collaborated in several best-selling books. Vissza
