Adam Bittleston was born in 1911 at Ockley, Surrey. He took a degree in philosophy, politics and economics at Oxford and was ordained as a priest of The Christian Community in 1935. He worked in Leeds, London and Edinburgh, and taught at the training centre of The Christian Community and Emerson College, Forest Row, Sussex. Among his works are The Spirit of the Circling Stars, Our Spiritual Companions and Loneliness, which are available from Floris Books.
