Marion Milner is a most distinguished and well-respected British psychoanalyst. She became famous not only for her excursions into the cultural field (through her explorations of art, leisure, and education) but for a detailcd psychoanalytic case history published under the title The Hands of the Liviiig God. She has enjoyed a strong followmg both among the psychotherapeutic profession and the wider public. This extensively edited collection of published papers stretching back over forty years begins with a fascinating account of her development in psychoanalysis, starting with a child case she treated under Melanie Klein.
