The town barber who shears the young bucks. All these are part of that classic North American thoroughfare, which—regardless of its actual name—can be found in every community.
While a Main Street in Natchez, Mississippi, where Coca-cola was invented, may have vastly different features than one in wintry Dawson City,Yukon Territory, these thoroughfares of town life will be similar in their importance to their communities. How, after all, could we have a general store, an old schoolhouse, or for that matter, an Independence Day parade without a Main Street to put on them on?
