Through their contacts with such different countries and peoples the Arabs broadened their refined and already vast culture - renowned throughout Medieval Europe - that was a fundamental crossroads for Western and Eastern thought.

In a souk you can taste nearly everything, from freshly baked bread to delicious sweets, from grilled meats to Harira, the traditional soup for Ramadan.
