The limbie structures appear to play a basic role in the organization of corticosteroneadjusted behaviour and exert a regulatory influence on the pituitary-adrenal axis. The main conclusion of the book is related to the experimentál findings that the pituitary-adrenal function has a modifying influence on learning behaviour and memory function and that the limbic structures are involved in the integration of these events.
