A Brief History
The firm was founded in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, Eugene, Oregon in early 1973. Publications in 1974 included a color-scenic book titled Beautiful Oregon, featuring the photographic work of the world famous photographer Ray Atkeson. Following the book came numerous color framing prints and an Oregon calendar, all featuring Mr. Atkeson's work.
The following year, 1975, brought forth books on Washington titled Beautiful Washington, and a book on California titled Colorful California. Framing prints and calendars on those states were also added the latter part of the year, all featuring Atkeson photography.
Also in 1975 the company added to the line, Colorado, Scenic Wonderland, featuring the photography of David Muench. A calendar and framing prints followed, bringing four states into the Beautiful West list of states.

Also in 1976, a large coffee-table style book on western United States titled WESTERN IMPRESSIONS, featuring Ray Atkeson photography, was produced.
Subject matter now in production for new books that will be available soon include: Michigan, Arizona, Southern California, California Coast, Sierra Nevada, American Rockies, Yukon, Alberta, Western Canada, Georgia, Maryland, New York, Texas, Wisconsin and West Virginia.
