In California, Ban worked as a dancer in movies until she married and had her first child. When her child was one year old. Ban divorced. Seven years later, she remarried, had a son and a second daughter, and began work as a kindergarten teacher. Ban is now retired in Central California. Her second husband passed away three years ago.
